Driving Directions:
From Augusta on Hwy 12/27 (west), take a
right on Hwy G (north). Follow Hwy G, taking a right as the
road moves east. Green Eyes bridge will be on the left at the
crossing of the concrete bridge of the same river (Eau Claire),
located from Hwy G.
There is a parking area and a trail
(snowmobile) that leads to the Green Eyes bridge after the crossing
from the concrete bridge.
Physical Description:
This older bridge is located in a
heavily forested area where there are some houses on the western
bank of the river. The bridge is used for snowmobiles to cross, as there is a trail
that runs through this forested area. The Green Eyes Bridge is next to a
larger concrete bridge which is used for the passing traffic.
Both bridges span the Eau Claire River.
