In the city of Cedarburg, take Hwy T/Western Rd
west. Then take a right (north) on Evergreen Boulevard. Founders Cemetery Park will be on the right, located on
Evergreen Boulevard.
Physical Description: From the outside, there is a small, open field located next to
the park. This area might not be considered a park; instead, it is like a small
forest/wooded area with much overgrowth. The paths are difficult to navigate through and are somewhat marked with
wood chips. There are two lights that illuminate most of the area
along with some side house lights. The
Founders Rock marks the entrance with some wooden fences. Following the path, there are assorted wood
benches. An old burial marker with all
the original names (hard to see some names, faded/eroded) is
surrounded by a metal black fence with another rock next to it with
all of the names of the Early Cedarburg Pioneers. The path
then leads deeper into the forested area and is especially hard to follow. It forks off in many directions, and some
house lights are visible.

Founders Cemetery Park Haunted?
*The monument stone contains the
recoverable names of the deceased which were laid to
rest there. All that is left of the head stones of
the original cemetery are small rocks and stones.-SL |
