In Kaukauna, take Lawe St/Hwy 55 north.  Next, take a right on Ducharme St (east).  Take a left on Augustine St, and the Charles A. Grignon Mansion will be on the left, located at 1313 Augustine St in Grignon Park.

 


Physical Description:
This old, beige, two-story mansion is one of Wisconsin's oldest buildings; and according to the plaque in front of the building, it is Wisconsin's first deed.  This building is central to the founding of the city of Kaukauna and is a major landmark for this city.  Grignon Park surrounds the mansion, and there is a paper factory across the street from this location.
Trespassing Notice:
This building is private property; do not enter in the fenced area.  Tours are available for access inside this historic mansion.
