The State Capital Building can be
accessed from many streets that lead to the center of Madison.
These streets are N Hamilton, S Hamilton, W Washington Ave, E
Washington Ave, State St, King St, Wisconsin Ave, and Martin Luther
King Jr. Blvd. The roads that surround the building are
Carroll St (north/south), Pinckney St (north/south), Main St
(east/west), and Mifflin St (east/west).
Physical Description:
This symmetrical, beautiful four story
building features a rotunda in the center accompanied by a different
branch of offices for each cardinal direction that houses the state
government of Wisconsin. For each cardinal direction, there
are different statues outside that commemorate Wisconsin and United
States historical events.
