right on First St (west). The Old Alexander Middle School will be
on the right, three blocks from the turnoff on Prospect Ave/Hwy 73, located at
310 First St.
Physical Description:
This is an old school building
that is three stories with red bricking. The building is close
to the center of town and is next to a paper factory and some
residential housing.

This is the old school building for the
entire city of Nekoosa. In the 1950s, the elementary school
moved out of this building to its own school site. Then in
1971, a new high school was built and this building became the
middle school. In 1996, a new middle school was constructed,
and this building has been abandoned since except for a karate and
fitness center that used this building for a short-lived time (the
sign is still outside the school).
