Driving Directions:
From Fond du Lac, take Hwy 23 west.
After the Hwy M intersection, follow Hwy KK by taking a left (about
a mile from the Hwy M intersection). Callan Road will be the
second left from Hwy KK follow the road (Callan Road)
until the forested area which will eventually lead back to Hwy KK.
Physical Description:
This forested section of the road in
rural Fond du Lac county has tall trees that overhang the rough road
(at parts one lane). When there is a strong wind, the trees
(most of the trees are old and are breaking apart) sway back and
forth, producing an eerie creaking sound. There is a small house
that appears to be white in the middle of the forested area that
is mostly destroyed (probably from fallen trees). Overall,
this area, especially at night, seems like the perfect scary place
because it is very dark (the trees cover most of the sky and
surrounding area), Callan Road is a very desolate place, and except
for the creaking trees, the area is practically sound free.

Most of the forested area is private
property, including the part with the dilapidated house.

Why is
Witch Road-Callan Road Haunted?
*There is an old, run-down house on
the right side of the road where a witch lived some
50 or 60 years ago.-SL

*The road is very dark and
very cold in certain spots.-SL
*There have been sightings of lights flashing from the end of
the road. Some have seen white lights appearing on trees.
Others report seeing a little girl peaking her head around the
side of trees.-SL
*On the way down the road, there is a tree on the right side
that looks exactly like a witch.-SL

While this location certainly appears spooky at
night when this area is completely dark, only one
piece of the equipment registered any abnormal
readings (the one questionable picture). This
picture is unusual; and based on this, WIX cannot
