Driving Directions:
In Weyauwega, take E Main St (east).
Take a right on S Lincoln St (south), follow this road as it turns
into Evanswood Rd. Evanswood will turn to the left (west)
while Marsh Rd (unmarked) will be directly straight off
Evanswood Rd as it curves westward.
Physical Description:
This is a one lane, unmarked gravel road
that is outside the town of Weyauwega. This road stretches for
about a mile and a half and is surrounded by some open fields,
houses, and private forested property towards the end of the road,
which is a dead end. By the end of the road, there is a
concrete bridge that spans Walla Walla Creek.
Trespassing Notice:
There are some houses and driveways that
are marked private property along this road; do not trespass.
Other Notes:
There is another Marsh Road that is
marked in Waupaca County. These are the directions to this
Marsh Road: From Weyauwega, take Hwy 10 east.
Take exit Hwy II south and take an immediate left on Peters Rd
(east). Then take a right on Martin Rd going north. Marsh Road will be the next left, going east. Marsh Road is
located on the Waupaca County and Winnebago County Line.
However, this is not the Marsh Road that is supposedly haunted.

Why is
Marsh Road Haunted?
*The legend of this road is one of
a Goatman. Legend has it that back in the 1960s or
1970s there was a make-out couch that was located halfway
down this road. One late night after high school
prom, a young couple was on the couch, and the Goatman
killed them. The couch was covered with their
remains.-SL
